Appears to be associated with more neutral (to slightly acidic) semi-improved and unimproved grasslands.
Notes
Unmistakable in typical form. Bright pink cap with white stipe. The cap is typically pointed and splits as it opens while umbo remains pointed. Cap folds up and over in time but other species do similar and can be confused.
