Habitat Observations
I mostly see this in neutral semi-improved to unimproved grasslands. I haven’t seen this in particularly acidic conditions.
Notes
I don’t often see this species and where it appears the site is generally quite diverse. A striking bright red species with a cap of medium size. The cap (to me) appears slightly scaly and may slightly yellow on the edge. The stipe is red to orange and smooth with gills that are red to flesh coloured. This species tends to appear in troops
